Field notes Vol. 172 documents Elizabeth Gertrude Knight Britton's botanical collecting in the Bahamas in 1905 on a New York Botanical Garden expedition. It is comprised of a list of specimen numbers 3141-3450, collected January-February, 1905 around Nassau, New Providence Island. The notebook includes dates and locations, and entries have very brief descriptive information on the plant and/or habitat. Most entries do not have the full plant name. At the end of the notebook are several pages of miscellaneous notes.
