This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, on the Eastern Area Cruise 48, 49, 50, 51, and possibly others, aboard the Aranca and Espuma, 1969. Materials include: bird observation data sheets and fix data sheets. Bird observation sheets include time, species, #, dir., specimen or band no., and remarks. Remarks include physical descriptions of birds (colors, size, maturity), flock size, and behavior (sitting on water, height off of water, etc.). Fix data sheets include: ship, date, sunrise (time, lat., long.), sunset (time, lat., long.), total miles traveled, position (time, lat., long), and course or speed change.
